Ybor City was once the “cigar capital of the
world” with 12,000 Cuban, Spanish and
Italian cigar rollers churning out 700 million
cigars a year in the city’s 200 factories.
Today the Latin Quarter is a National Historic

cigars are still at the core of Ybor City.

the Gonzalez Y Martinez cigar factory and the
Ybor City State Museum and the finished
product can be purchased for $4 - $14 in Ybor’s
many cigar shops.
